Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Intern in the Income Tax group within Tax Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation of the company's state income tax returns for all worldwide business units
  • Collecting and analyzing data, performing computations, and preparing work papers for tax returns and tax provisions
  • Preparing state income tax estimates, extensions, and returns for a diverse group of corporations conducting multi-national operations
  • Collaborating with company tax, business, and accounting personnel to acquire data needed for tax compliance
  • Researching income tax compliance-related issues
  • Proposing and implementing process improvements and drafting user manuals for the department to outline Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Analyzing and preparing responses to state notices

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A process improvement mindset and intermediate Excel experience (advanced Excel is a plus)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Adaptability to change and ease of working in a highly collaborative work environment
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstration of professionalism through a positive and cooperative demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

We are looking for candidates who are currently pursuing or have recently graduated with a Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics, or other related major. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.

Program Details

* Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from February through August 2025.

  • Required Materials: Resumes and transcripts must be uploaded during the online application.
  • Housing: A limited number of housing units are available for Florida-based participants. Once they have accepted an internship offer, interns can sign up for housing.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of their internship program.

Program Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
  • Have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months
  • Currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines
