Job Description

As an Accountant Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare clients by providing exceptional accounting and administrative services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Responding to general account billing inquiries from internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
• Conducting research using internal resources to verify group information, such as effective dates, active status, and premiums
• Preparing basic monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Communicating and interacting effectively with coworkers, management, and customers to resolve issues and provide support

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to general account billing inquiries from internal and external customers

• Conduct research using internal resources to verify group information
• Prepare basic monthly account reconciliations
• Communicate and interact effectively with coworkers, management, and customers

Essential Qualifications:

* 1 year of accounting experience or 12 credit hours of accounting coursework

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Aptitude for math and proficiency with 10-key skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1 year of call center customer service experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Experience working with BlueStar

Skills and Competencies:

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
