Job Summary
As a Virtual STEM Educator, you will be responsible for delivering virtual academic instruction to assigned students and leading them through successful course completion. You will have access to our educator portal, where you can select the jobs that align with your certification and interests. Our flexible and contract-based opportunities allow you to create your own schedule and choose the assignments that best fit your needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver virtual academic instruction to assigned students and lead them through successful course completion
- Promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment
- Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships
- Create lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum
- Keep track of student grades and performance
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administrators to ensure seamless delivery of instruction
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in virtual education
Essential Qualifications
* Valid New York State professional teaching license in any STEM subject (Earth Science, Any Science, Math, and Technology)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Prior online teaching experience (a plus)
- Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access
- Ability to complete a Virtual Skills Teaching Demonstration and submit a background check as part of the application process
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
