Job Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Vascular Technologist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Vascular Technologist at Vetted Health, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging and interventional procedures. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, including ultrasound, angiography, and venography, to diagnose and treat vascular diseases
* Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures, and provide post-procedure care
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes
* Educate patients and families about vascular diseases, treatment options, and self-care techniques
* Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in medical imaging and interventional procedures
Essential Qualifications
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Vascular Technology or a related field
* 2+ years of experience as a Vascular Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
* Current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI)
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* National and state certification as required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to lift and move patients as needed
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Vascular Technology or a related field
* 5+ years of experience as a Vascular Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
* Experience with ultrasound, angiography, and venography
* Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
* Certification in a specialty area, such as vascular ultrasound or interventional radiology
