Experienced Wellness Coach II - Health and Wellness Program Development and Implementation

As a Wellness Coach II, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing health and wellness programs that promote physical activity, healthy eating, and overall well-being.

Job Summary

As a Wellness Coach II, you will be responsible for building personalized relationships with members who are committed to achieving their health and wellness goals. You will work closely with members to develop and implement customized fitness plans, provide guidance on healthy eating and nutrition, and promote overall well-being. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date on current issues regarding wellness programs, promoting and evaluating the effectiveness of our wellness programs, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all members.

Key Responsibilities

* Build personalized relationships with members who are committed to achieving their health and wellness goals

  • Develop and implement customized fitness plans for members
  • Provide guidance on healthy eating and nutrition
  • Promote overall well-being and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Stay up-to-date on current issues regarding wellness programs
  • Promote and evaluate the effectiveness of our wellness programs
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in wellness coaching
  • Collaborate with other wellness professionals to develop and implement new programs and services
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on member progress and program effectiveness

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, exercise psychology, behavioral science, or a related field

  • At least three months of experience in a wellness coaching or related role
  • Certification in wellness coaching or a related field (e.g. ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NSCA)
  • Strong knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, and wellness principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in exercise science, physical education, exercise psychology, behavioral science, or a related field

  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities
  • Certification in group fitness instruction or personal training
  • Experience with program development and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of health and wellness trends and best practices
