As a Senior Brand Strategist, you will play a critical role in building the vision, story, systems, and value for the DoorDash brand, inspiring creativity, and infusing our brand into every touchpoint of our organization. The Role: Senior Brand Strategist

As a Senior Brand Strategist at DoorDash, you will be responsible for:

  • Building, orchestrating, and exporting the vision, story, and value of the DoorDash brand (and all sub-brands)
  • Collaborating across the company to align marketing, business, product, and experience to reinforce the equity we intend to build with our audiences
  • Being the primary advocate for our three audiences - Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants - ensuring that strategies are designed with them in mind
  • Owning and reporting on Brand Goals
  • Building Audience Brand Architectures, narratives, and naming conventions to be applied across a range of existing and emerging initiatives
  • Working hand in hand with creative teams to inspire remarkable work

Key Responsibilities

Brand Vision and Storytelling

  • Develop a deep understanding of the DoorDash brand, its values, and its mission
  • Build a compelling brand vision and story that resonates with our audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints

Audience Advocacy

  • Develop a deep understanding of our three audiences - Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants
  • Ensure that brand strategies are designed with their needs and interests in mind
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audience-centricity across all initiatives

Brand Architecture and Governance

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive brand architecture that includes brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and visual identity
  • Establish and maintain brand governance processes to ensure consistency across all touchpoints

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant brand strategy experience brand-side or within creative agencies
  • Proven success crafting best-in-class brand positionings and messaging frameworks
  • Experience crafting and implementing brand systems and architectures
  • A desire to collaborate with Marketing teams and Product teams alike
  • A deep passion for research, and fluency in brand measurement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing qualitative and quantitative studies
  • A track record of partnering with creative teams and/or creative agencies to develop truly remarkable creative ideas
  • Fluency in systems and frameworks, as well as ideas and storytelling

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • A salary range of $152,000 - $240,000 USD (California) or $160,000 - $240,000 USD (New York)
  • Opportunities for equity grants
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off
