Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our disaster relief support team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals and businesses affected by natural disasters, responding to inquiries, and resolving complex issues in a timely and professional manner. This is a remote work opportunity, and you will be required to work from home, with occasional visits to our office in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls and emails from individuals and businesses affected by natural disasters

  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect and enter data into our central database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Compile, verify, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible, and check output
  • Retrieve data as requested, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict data protection policies
  • Maintain and update our database system as necessary, ensuring seamless integration with our technology platforms
  • Work closely with our Supervisor(s) to resolve difficult and complex consumer interactions
  • Meet Quality Assurance (QA) and other key performance metrics, ensuring exceptional service delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Track and document all inquiries using our applicable systems, maintaining accurate records and reports

Minimum Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED required

  • At least six (6) months of customer service/secretarial/telemarketing experience required
  • Ability to pass a federal background check
  • Ability to comply with moderate computer usage, including MS Office applications
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as well as overtime and/or holidays as needed
  • Experience with and/or ability to use call center telephony equipment
  • Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to organize simultaneous tasks
  • Must be a US Citizen per client requirements
  • Must reside in the Contiguous US
  • Call center experience preferred, but not required

Home Office Requirements

* Hardwired internet (ethernet) connection

  • Internet download speed of 25mbps and 5mbps (10 preferred) upload or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)
  • Private work area and adequate power source
  • All equipment will be provided by blithequark (computer and headset) but must be picked up in our physical office located at Raleigh, NC prior to your start date.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a call center environment, with a strong understanding of call center telephony equipment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Experience working with databases and data entry systems, with a strong understanding of data protection policies and procedures
