As a critical member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of baggage and cargo for our customers. Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Utilizing baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customer destinations.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities.

Work Environment and Schedule

As a Ramp Agent, you can expect to work in a dynamic and physically demanding environment, with tasks that include bending, lifting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow. Our scheduling is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority.

Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

To succeed as a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT).
  • Willingness to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous experience in airport operations or customer service.
  • Familiarity with aviation industry regulations and procedures.
