As we scale, cloud reliability, security, and automation are critical. We’re looking for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer to own our cloud practices—primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but also with AWS when projects demand it.

You’ll be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining cloud environments that support client applications as well as Sidetool’s internal platforms. This includes setting up infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, monitoring, and cost-performance optimization. You’ll work closely with our Technical Project Managers and developers to ensure that every product we deliver is reliable, scalable, and secure.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment where projects range from client-facing web apps to internal AI-driven platforms

• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on GCP and secondary on AWS.
• Automate provisioning and infrastructure management with Terraform (preferred) or similar tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitHub/GitLab for rapid deployment of client and internal projects.
• Support containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, etc.) for scalable deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve cloud reliability and uptime across multiple projects.
• Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency while ensuring high performance.
• Implement strong cloud security practices (IAM, policies, compliance checks).
• Document configurations and best practices to enable knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, IAM, networking).
• Solid experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, monitoring, and logging.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Ability to balance speed and quality in a client-driven environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in distributed teams.
