Key Responsibilities:

As a Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper with Check Off Your List, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining multiple QuickBooks files for various clients by accurately entering transactions and ensuring data integrity
  • Reconciling bank, credit card, Line of Credit, and other accounts in QuickBooks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Auditing vendor and customer accounts to ensure accurate Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
  • Providing accurate and timely financial statements to clients, enabling them to make informed business decisions
  • Obtaining necessary documentation to ensure the accuracy of transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Offering consistent support and important reminders to clients, helping them move towards their financial goals

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 2-year degree in a relevant field (such as accounting, finance, or business administration)
  • QuickBooks Online certification, demonstrating your expertise in managing financial data and transactions
  • Experience maintaining multiple QuickBooks files for various companies, with a strong understanding of financial management principles
  • Efficient typing skills, with the ability to accurately and quickly enter data
  • Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues
  • Strong correspondence writing and editing skills, with the ability to prepare accurate and concise financial reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A 4-year degree in a relevant field (such as accounting, finance, or business administration)
