Job Overview

As a Nutrition Services Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation and serving of food in our school cafeteria. This is a part-time position, working 2-6 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday, with a 154-day/9-month work schedule. While this role does not offer benefits, it provides a competitive hourly salary of $17.26, depending on your relevant experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing meals following standardized recipes and operating various types of institutional equipment used in food preparation or cleaning
  • Portion food correctly to meet federal, state, and local guidelines for sanitation and child nutrition programs
  • Wash trays, utensils, dishes, pans, and other equipment used in food preparation or service
  • Mop, sweep, and clean the kitchen work area, equipment, and other facilities as required
  • Comply with federal, state, and local guidelines for sanitation and child nutrition programs
  • Work collaboratively with other nutrition services staff to ensure the smooth operation of the cafeteria

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Two years of high school, vocational school, or equivalent on-the-job training
  • Basic math, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Ability to deal with children and children with special needs
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check
