The Role: Leading Advanced Analytics for New Business Growth

We're looking for an exceptional leader to head our Advanced Analytics team within the New Business division. As a Manager, Advanced Analytics, New Business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business by leveraging data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting tools to inform strategic decisions. You'll lead a geographically distributed team of analysts and collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the VP, Business and their team, to drive growth across new marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing team of business analysts, fostering a culture of agility, growth, and continuous learning.
• Advanced Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions.
• Experimentation and Evaluation: Design and oversee experiments to assess the impact of new initiatives and strategies, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
• Metric Development: Develop critical business metrics to monitor and drive growth in new marketplaces, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Reporting and Analytical Tools: Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.

A Typical Day:

As a Manager, Advanced Analytics, New Business, your day will be filled with cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving. You can expect to:

• Work closely with Strategic Finance and Analytics, Data and Analytical Engineering, Central Strategy and Intelligence, and Data Science teams to ensure alignment and leverage synergies.
• Engage with business stakeholders, including the VP Business and their team, to understand needs and provide analytical support.
• Manage senior stakeholder relationships, ensuring clarity of communication and strategic alignment on analytics initiatives.

Your Expertise:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A quantitative undergraduate degree (economics, statistics, math, data science, etc.) with a strong preference for candidates holding an MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• 10+ years of experience in a related field with deep technical expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and analytics tools.
• A minimum of 2 years as a people manager leading a team, with a proven track record of team development.
• Robust business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
• Experience managing and mentoring a team of business analysts, with a proven track record of team development.
• Prior experience in business analytics within a marketplace or tech-centric business environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
• An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
