Position Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and qualified tutors to work with students in various subjects and levels. Key Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments with assigned tutees on a weekly basis
• Assess tutees' needs and tailor tutorial support accordingly
• Write tutor reports following each session
• Attend trainings and comply with all policies and procedures
• Provide high-quality academic support to students in various subjects and levels
• Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
• Collaborate with other tutors and academic support staff to ensure a comprehensive support system for students

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:

• Be a current Penn State student (sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student) or have a strong academic background
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
• Have earned at least an A- in the course(s) you wish to tutor
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Be flexible and able to work varying hours, including evenings and Sundays

Preferred qualifications include:

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of specific subjects or areas of study
