Position Overview

As a K-12 Sales Representative at Workwarp, you will be responsible for managing sales for a variety of instructional materials, programs, and services to 51 districts located in and around the Houston area. Your primary objective will be to attain and surpass sales goals, develop and build customer relationships, and maintain and expand market penetration. You will create and execute marketing and strategic territory plans, conduct successful sales presentations, and coordinate in-service presentations that showcase our products and services. Your excellent organization and follow-through skills will enable you to prioritize tasks, manage your time effectively, and achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the Houston area
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with district administrators, teachers, and other key decision-makers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Conduct needs assessments, product demonstrations, and sales presentations to showcase our instructional materials, programs, and services
  • Create and implement marketing and strategic territory plans to achieve sales goals and expand market penetration
  • Coordinate and deliver in-service presentations, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities to support teacher effectiveness and student achievement
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development teams, to ensure alignment and maximize sales potential
  • Manage sales data, track performance metrics, and provide regular sales reports to inform business decisions and drive growth

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in education, business, or a related field
  • Proven sales experience in the educational sector, preferably in K-12 sales
  • Strong understanding of the K-12 educational landscape, including curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational technology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales goals and drive business growth
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in sales software, including CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role:

  • Master's degree in education, business, or a related field
  • Teaching or administrative experience in K-12 education
  • Experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance metrics
  • Knowledge of educational technology, including learning management systems, online courses, and digital resources
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken in the Houston area
