About the Role: Human Resources Manager

As a Human Resources Manager at American Express, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our company culture, managing talent acquisition, and ensuring the development and engagement of our employees. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a meaningful mission. Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs, manage the recruitment process, and ensure the selection of top talent that aligns with our company's values and objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and work with Learning and Development teams to create programs that foster skill development and career advancement.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring an inclusive workplace that values and respects all perspectives.
  • HR Compliance: Stay current with employment laws and regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in progressively responsible HR positions, with a proven track record as an HR Manager or similar senior HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and management.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to solve complex HR-related issues.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in talent acquisition and retention.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having the following qualifications can be a plus:

  • Experience working in a global or multinational organization.
  • Certifications in HR, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific HR trends and best practices.
