Job Summary

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Remote Data Entry Position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records in our pharmacy department. You will work closely with our pharmacy team to ensure seamless customer experiences and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Provides exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Registers transactions on assigned sales register, collects cash, and distributes change as needed
  • Processes voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as required
  • Maintains accurate records, including patient and medication data, and ensures data is entered correctly
  • Fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medication, confirming medication is correct, and checking for potential interactions
  • Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work processes
  • Reports prescription errors to pharmacists on duty and adheres to organization policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
  • Handles calls that do not require individual attention from the pharmacist, including those to doctors
  • Processes (revises and resubmits) manual claims for external program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner
  • Performs other administrative tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Director
  • Assists with division of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and item placement as determined by strategies/methods (e.g., raw and frozen meats on base shelves)
  • Maintains working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
  • Provides customer support in the photo area, including digital identification photo service, banner print, and creative machine
  • Takes on web pick-up responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles requests, and delivers requests to customers as they arrive at the store)
  • Assists with external and internal maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and well-organized store condition and appearance

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of store systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekend hours
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a pharmacy setting

  • Familiarity with store stock control and inventory management
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
  • PTCB certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
  • Strong numerical skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions
