Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team in the Commercial General Industry & Technology sector. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the sales acquisition process, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. You'll work closely with our underwriting team to coordinate new business and renewal policy accounts, provide exceptional customer service, and resolve problems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the underwriting team in the sales acquisition process, including account coordination, new business and renewal policy essential services, and data collection.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agents, handling inquiries and requests, and resolving problems efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers to request needed information, resolve problems, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage a high volume of transactions, prioritizing tasks and managing daily work activities to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with agents, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and company initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Prior experience in the commercial insurance industry as an Account Manager, Underwriting Assistant, Rater, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of primary insurance coverages, including Workers Compensation, Auto, General Liability, and Property.
  • Functional knowledge of commercial lines rating experience.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with:

  • Experience working in a hybrid work arrangement, with the ability to work remotely and in an office environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry trends and developments.
  • Experience with automation and technical skills.
  • Professional certifications, such as CPCU or ARM.
