Located in Mooresville, NC, our learning center is dedicated to providing top-notch math education to local students. We're seeking a talented and dedicated Math Instructor / Tutor to join our team, someone who is not only passionate about math but also excels at creating engaging learning experiences. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in helping students understand, master, and love math.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction and tutoring services to students in a variety of settings, including in-center, online, and hybrid environments.
• Foster positive interactions with parents, guardians, and students to build confidence and demonstrate the value of our program.
• Develop proficiency in our digital educational materials and processes to enhance student learning.
• Utilize the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices to provide individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess student progress, work collaboratively with team members, and continually improve the learning experience.
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework to ensure understanding and progress.
• Maintain a clean, professional learning environment that supports effective learning.
• Assist with non-teaching tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of our center.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A strong passion for math and a desire to share this with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Exceptional math competency, with a minimum proficiency through Algebra I.
• The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage various ongoing tasks.
• A willingness to learn and be trained in our proprietary Mathnasium Method.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your application:

• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, especially in math.
• A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital educational tools.
