We are seeking an experienced Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics to join our Trust and Security team at YouTube. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating malicious actors attempting account takeovers, spam, and other forms of abuse. You will also lead the Business Investigation group in producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing Transparency Reports for countries around the world. About the Role:

As the Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you will be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating malicious actors attempting account takeovers, spam, and other forms of abuse. You will also lead the Business Investigation group in producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing Transparency Reports for countries around the world. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating malicious actors attempting account takeovers, spam, and other forms of abuse
  • Leading the Business Investigation group in producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing Transparency Reports for countries around the world
  • Understanding, predicting, and insightfully mitigating risks from new, scaling industry patterns (e.g., generative AI)
  • Collaborating with the Strategy Development group to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior
  • Delivering powerful and productive operational execution (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24×7
  • Managing accelerations with quick time required to circle back, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while creating relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • At least 4 years of experience in risk management, data analysis, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience working with design teams that build data foundation and ML models
  • 2 years of experience driving teams with the ability to work non-standard hours as accelerations require
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to drive business decisions
  • Experience with SQL, R, and/or Matlab is a plus
  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with the following preferred qualifications:

  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • 2 years of experience with investigation of large datasets and anomaly detection
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in adversarial abuse activities
  • Strong business judgment, critical and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action with the ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights
  • Exceptional influencing and leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
