About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to partner with our creative production leadership and cross-functional teams to uncover new opportunities, design and analyze experiments, and deliver solutions that have a significant impact on our users. As a trusted partner, you'll leverage data to inform strategic decisions that ultimately shape promotional content and drive member engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with diverse cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, design and execute experiments, and deliver data-driven solutions that drive product change
• Effectively identify and apply analytics, causal inference, experimentation, and machine learning techniques to drive innovations and measure success
• Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of experiments to inform product decisions and optimize promotional content
• Proactively perform data exploration on engagement behaviors to discover future opportunities and identify areas for improvement
• Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders from product, engineering, operations, design, and consumer research to drive collaboration and alignment
• Communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely to audiences at various levels, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• An advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of relevant experience working with large-scale data, ideally in experimentation or product analytics settings
• Strong statistical knowledge and intuition, with experience applying analytics, causal inference, and machine learning techniques to drive business outcomes
• Strong product knowledge and intuition, with experience working in consumer or user interface settings or internally serving technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts and drive product change through data-driven insights
• Strong SQL skills and quantitative programming skills in Python or R
• Ability to work independently and drive your own projects, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge:

• Experience building real-world machine learning models with demonstrated impact
• Experience creating data products and dashboards, such as Tableau
• Experience building causal inference solutions and applying them to drive business outcomes
• Familiarity with software engineering practices and working with APIs
