About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Business Examination group, where you'll lead key cross-functional projects to drive business process automation and support sales and service operations using data science tools and techniques. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, AI/ML Specialists, and Product Managers to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead key cross-functional projects to drive business process automation and support sales and service operations using data science tools and techniques

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes
• Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines to support our group's goal of democratizing data and empowering an data-driven organization
• Communicate complex data insights to all levels of the organization, from business leaders to technical stakeholders
• Work closely with authority, design, and other partners to deliver significant business insights
• Apply machine learning, advanced analytics, and visualization techniques to various datasets across the organization
• Collaborate with data engineers to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and machine learning models

What You'll Bring:

* 2+ years of experience in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Finance)

• Strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and business acumen
• Results-oriented with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of data science principles
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to all levels of the organization
• Proven track record of extracting insights from data and building machine learning models, particularly in business analytics (or related) areas
• Uplevel group's ML capabilities in at least one significant area (e.g., estimation, predictive modeling, descriptive analysis, or Natural Language Processing (NLP))
• Master in SQL and Python, particularly in standard data science libraries and frameworks like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, PySpark, etc.
• Capability in at least one visualization tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
• Master in data wrangling and analyzing large and complex datasets, structured or unstructured
• Ability to self-start and work independently in an unstructured environment, as well as navigate ambiguity and bring a problem from 0 to 1
• Strong issue framing, critical thinking, and project management skills, with the ability to rapidly pivot and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
