Key Responsibilities and Duties
As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to provide timely solutions to customers
- Consistently and accurately documenting all information pertaining to accounts
- Using basic business math to solve problems and provide accurate loan approvals
- Speaking clearly, concisely, and effectively to customers, while listening to and understanding their concerns
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and sensitivity when speaking to customers, even in tense situations
- Following written and/or verbal instructions to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Processing card payments accurately and efficiently
- Performing the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
- Reviewing applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan
- Following up with customers to clarify important points and finalize loan details
- Remaining up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services
- Creating and renewing records to ensure accurate customer information
- Identifying customer needs and exploring all options available to customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt quickly to changing company needs
- Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
- Meeting monthly individual goals as set by management
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
* Minimum of High school diploma/GED
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations
- Proficient with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems
- Preferred Education and/or Experience:
+ Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in a financial institution or related field + Technical Skills: - Proficient use of MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage
