About the Company and Role

Our client is an international organization with a presence in Valencia, Spain, known for its innovative approach to technology and commitment to excellence. As a Full Remote IT Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing business requirements, developing technical solutions, and collaborating with various ICT teams to implement technology solutions aligned with IT product roadmaps. This is a full remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while maintaining the core office hours of 8:00 to 16:30 CET.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ICT Teams: Work closely with other ICT teams to develop and implement technology solutions that align with the organization's IT product roadmaps.
  • Analyze Business Requirements: Analyze functional business requirements and participate in the development of business cases to support process changes and/or IT projects.
  • Translate Requirements into Technical User Stories: Translate business requirements into clear and concise technical user stories and communicate with vendors to clarify business/technical requirements.
  • Data Management: Articulate interfaces with enterprise data sources, write database queries, and build ad-hoc reports/models using tools like SSRS or Microsoft Power BI.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Test new releases/versions of software by writing acceptance test cases and participate in functional/exploratory and automated testing.
  • Documentation and Maintenance: Document system functionality, keep system documentation updated, and roll out new releases using DevOps pipelines.
  • Performance Monitoring and Enhancement: Track, monitor, and analyze performance and production issues, implement enhancements, and troubleshoot software system issues.
  • Support and Problem Solving: Provide problem-solving assistance to system users and team members, leveraging your analytical skills and experience.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a proven track record of writing user stories, participating in sprints, and developing acceptance tests.
  • The ability to write clear and concise user stories, acceptance test cases, and technical specifications, preferably using a platform like Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, data structures, and SQL scripting (SQL, MYSQL, Oracle).
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not mandatory, having the following skills and experience will be considered advantageous:

  • Experience with building wireframes/lightweight prototypes.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, ETL development, and business intelligence tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Experience in analytics, business analysis, or comparable consumer analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with Drupal portal configuration, Azure DevOps pipelines, reporting tools like SSRS and Power BI, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience developing complex reports and models.
