Key Responsibilities

• Teach students in grades K-12 using their customized learning plans, focusing on building a strong foundation in math concepts.
• Assist students with homework completion and provide guidance on test preparation, including SAT and ACT.
• Develop a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, explore, and learn.
• Participate in paid training to familiarize yourself with Mathnasium's curriculum, teaching strategies, and team teaching methods.
• Work collaboratively with other instructors to ensure consistency and high-quality instruction.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Maintain a clear and organized workspace, ensuring a conducive learning environment.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed as a Mathnasium Math Instructor, you should possess:

• Strong math proficiency up to Algebra; proficiency through Geometry and Calculus is preferred.
• An exceptional score on Mathnasium's Math Literacy exam, demonstrating your mastery of math concepts from 2nd grade and up.
• Availability to work at least 2 weekday shifts (3-4 hours per shift) in the afternoons after 3 pm.
• A clear record on state and national background checks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math, particularly in a specialized math learning center.
