Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences to our applicants through various communication channels, including phone, email, and chat. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to all inbound inquiries from applicants with effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Providing technical assistance to applicants to enable them to complete their applications
  • Navigating our computerized system for responding and/or troubleshooting to applicants' questions
  • Utilizing excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills, as well as being comfortable with multi-tasking, as needed
  • Developing strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to empathize with applicants
  • Staying up-to-date on all FORWARD application programs to provide excellent applicant support
  • Identifying inefficiencies in workflows and suggesting solutions to improve our processes

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Technical savvy and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong ability to work well with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational, and experiential backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new challenges
  • Ability to work with a high volume of activity (phone, email, and chat)
  • Bilingual abilities preferred; English/Chinese (Mandarin)/Spanish
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Availability to work a 6 am-3 pm schedule (preferred)
