Senior Software Engineer, Game Server
Fortis Games is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and operate server software for a new game. The role involves working with a cross-disciplinary team to design, implement, and deploy large-scale, highly-available services. Requirements
- Prior experience developing scalable and highly-available server software for a customer-facing production environment
- Fluency in C# and modern web app development on .NET
- Proficiency with JavaScript (Node.js) and shell scripting (bash)
- Proficiency with both relational (e.g. MySQL) and non-relational database systems (e.g. Redis, DynamoDB)
- Extensive familiarity with deploying software to the public cloud (i.e. AWS)
- The ability to quickly isolate and debug complex issues within code
- Must be proactive, self-directed, organized, and willing and able to learn more
- Exemplify exceptional confidence in your work and attention to the quality of work you produce
- Mindfulness of how design decisions impact performance and user experience
