Who we are looking for

We are currently seeking an Appian Associate for a full-time position remotely supporting our client Constellation.

We are an organization that is committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry and looking for an Appian Associate who is ready to assume leadership responsibilities in a supportive team environment that is focused on your success as a function of client success.

What your day-to-day will look like / Duties:

• Working with senior leaders to scope and design Appian solutions that meet our client’s expectations and business needs.
• Exhibits the ability to deliver complex development assignments efficiently and comprehensively.

• Demonstrates the ability to lead discussions and collaborate with external clients to understand their business processes and technical needs.

What we would like to see on your resume/ Required Skills

• 1 to 2 years leading software development teams implementing Appian.
• Have experience in an Agile environment.
• Displays the ability to work independently and within a small team setting.
• Involved in requirement discovery, data modeling, and the design and build of BPM applications.

What will make you stand out as a candidate

• Good communication
• Demonstrates the ability to deliver complex development assignments efficiently and comprehensively.
• Certification: Appian level 1 certification, Agile Certification, SQL – basic DDL and DML – create, update, delete query operations; ability to select (aka search) = CRUD *and as needed on project – can cover: Oracle, MySQL, Postgres (check with manager)
• The Consultant will have competency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Methodology – HIL Dev and Processes – SDLC Including deployment cycle), understanding why we do them, how to do them, and how to adapt / change
• Good working knowledge of the area of support assigned. This could include solution set (IT, business analysis, pricing, etc.) or internal HQ functions (e.g., HR, Finance, Proposal writing, etc.) applicable to the assigned work area.
• Ready to earn any applicable certifications necessary or an assignment.
• Ability to understand and perform deployment related tasks if applicable to the teams SDLC cycle.
• Able to ask questions and point out problematic areas.

What specifically does this role require

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as software engineering, engineering, computer science, etc.

Salary Range: Various factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $72,000-$100,000.

Location: Horizon is headquartered in the heart of Tyson’s Corner, VA. Occasional travel may be required.

Clearance: Must be an US Citizen.
