Hey there,

We are looking for a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. We're building a new open-source product that's already making waves!

What We're Building:

  • Simply put, we are building an open source private database-as-a-service (DBaaS).
  • It helps developers ship code faster and scale their databases without the usual headaches.
  • We're giving users control back over their data, their configurations, and their costs.
  • It's a new, greenfield product started in 2023, so you'll have a real impact on its direction.
  • It automates all the tough stuff for Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB inside Kubernetes.

    • What You'll Be Doing:

  • We need a team mate who can:
  • Independently own and deliver features for our UI, from the first idea to the final pull request.
  • Write clean, high-quality, and well-tested code that you're proud of.
  • Collaborate directly with our backend, UI/UX, QA and product folks.
  • Help us make smart architectural decisions. We value your expertise.
  • Be a voice in our Scrum process. We're always looking for ways to get better.

    • Our Tech Stack:

  • We use modern tools. No surprises here.
  • Frontend: TypeScript, React, MUI, React Hook Form, PNPM, Vite, Vitest, Playwright.
  • Repo & CI/CD: We use a Turborepo setup and GitHub Actions for everything.
  • Infra: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS.
  • How We Work: Jira, Figma, Slack, Google Workspace.

    • What We're Looking For:

  • You're a great fit if you have:
  • 4+ years of professional frontend experience, building and shipping production applications with React, TypeScript, and MUI.
  • Hands-on experience with React Hook Form for complex forms.
  • You should be comfortable with react-testing-library and an E2E framework like Playwright or Cypress.
  • Solid experience with Docker. You know how to run and examine containers.
  • Great communication skills. You're a team player who can explain complex ideas clearly.
  • The ability to work independently. We'll give you all the support you need, but we won't micromanage you.

    • Bonus points if you:

  • Are fond of AI developer tooling (GitHub Copilot and others) and how it can make our team even more effective.
  • Have an interest in Kubernetes or open-source databases. You don't need to be an expert, but curiosity is a huge plus.
