Core Tasks

• Strategic Link Placement & Brand Mentions: Secure placements on high-authority websites that AI models frequently cite, targeting 30+ mentions per month by month 3
• Outreach Campaign Management: Execute comprehensive outreach strategies using automation tools (Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Apollo) to connect with decision-makers at target publications
• Contact Research & Enrichment: Identify and research the right contacts at target websites who can negotiate placements, using LinkedIn research and enrichment tools
• Negotiation & Relationship Building: Conduct calls with publishers to negotiate placements, including site-wide affiliate deals and content partnerships
• Process Documentation & SOP Creation: Document and systematize successful outreach workflows for future automation and product development
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor placement success, track mentions in the company platform, and provide regular progress reports
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the content team to coordinate content creation needs for placement opportunities

Must Haves

• Proven Link Building/Outreach Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with link-building campaigns, preferably at an outreach agency or similar role
• Outreach Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with outreach automation platforms (Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Apollo, or similar), including sequence building and dynamic variables
• SEO & Link Building Knowledge: Understanding of effective link-building strategies, angles that drive responses, and SEO best practices
• Communication & Negotiation Skills: Comfortable conducting phone/video calls to negotiate placements and build relationships with publishers
• Research & Enrichment Skills: Ability to identify decision-makers at target websites using LinkedIn, enrichment tools, and other research methods
• Process Documentation: Experience creating SOPs and systematizing workflows for scalability
• US Time Zone Availability: Must work EST or PST hours for real-time collaboration
• Self-Starter Mentality: Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with leadership

• Agency Background: Previous experience at a link-building or digital marketing agency
• Content Strategy Experience: Understanding of content marketing and how to leverage content for link acquisition
• Affiliate Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with affiliate publisher models and site-wide placement negotiations
