Experienced Full Stack Web Developer – Remote Marketplace Platform Development

The Role
As a full stack web developer on our team, you'll play a critical role in rebuilding our marketplace platform from the ground up. You'll work closely with our team to design, develop, and deploy a scalable and secure platform that meets the needs of our users. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining connections between WordPress and Next.js (messaging, sign-in, payments, and more)
- Collaborating on the migration and rebuild of the marketplace using WordPress and Next.js
- Customizing and enhancing features of the existing Listeo theme
- Utilizing REST API or GraphQL (REST API preferred) to manage data connections
- Ensuring seamless integration between WordPress and Next.js for a dynamic user experience
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain high-quality code that meets our standards for scalability, security, and performance
- Collaborate with our team to design and implement new features and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development and deployment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in web development and technology trends
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
Qualifications:
* Strong experience with PHP and WordPress development (at least 3 years)
- Proficiency in Next.js and React (at least 1 year)
- Knowledge of REST API or GraphQL (REST API preferred)
- Experience with custom WordPress themes or plugins (Listeo theme experience is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g. Docker)
- Experience with testing and debugging tools (e.g. Jest, Cypress)
