We're now seeking an experienced and passionate Math Tutor to join our team, providing high-quality instruction to students in grades 6-12.

The Opportunity

As a Math Tutor with TPAPT, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. You'll work in a collaborative and supportive environment, utilizing your expertise to help students overcome challenges and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. Our ideal candidate is someone who is not only knowledgeable in math but also passionate about teaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-person Math tutoring to students in grades 6-12, either in our Sorrento Valley learning center, online, or at local schools
• Deliver high-quality instruction, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student
• Tutoring sessions will typically last 60-90 minutes, with 6-12 hours of assignments available per week
• Utilize provided materials, as well as your own supplemental resources, to create engaging and effective lesson plans
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and TPAPT staff to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment

Essential Qualifications

• An earned Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Demonstrable ability to teach all math subjects at either the 6th-8th grade level or 9th-12th grade level
• A strong academic background in math, with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and principles
• At least 2 years of experience as a math teacher or tutor, with a proven track record of success
• Availability to work 6-12 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate our needs

• Experience working with students of varying skill levels and learning styles
• Knowledge of curriculum standards and teaching methods for math education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
