Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Ticket/Gate Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, guiding them through the check-in process, assisting with ticketing and baggage handling, and ensuring that they have a seamless travel experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the check-in process, boarding process, and seat availability, including making gate announcements and ensuring customers have the necessary travel documentation
  • Tagging and lifting baggage from scales to conveyor belts, with some luggage weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Operating loading bridges and opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors
  • Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner

Scheduling and Work Environment

Scheduling for this role is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. As a Remote Ticket/Gate Agent, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our flights.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful as a Remote Ticket/Gate Agent, you will need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • To be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
  • Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic digital literacy and the ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT)
  • To pass a Customer Service Assessment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and Delta Airlines' operations
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
