Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Water Fitness Instructor to teach fitness classes at our state-of-the-art aquatic facility. As a Water Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, safe, and effective aquatic programs that cater to a diverse range of ages, abilities, and fitness levels. You will work closely with our aquatic team to develop and implement new programs, promote our services to the community, and provide exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and deliver engaging, safe, and effective aquatic programs for adults and children, including water aerobics, swim lessons, and aquatic therapy classes

  • Develop and implement new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of our community
  • Promote our aquatic services to the community through social media, flyers, and other marketing materials
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our members, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with our aquatic team to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of our members
  • Maintain accurate records of program participation, attendance, and customer feedback
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in aquatic fitness and programming

Essential Qualifications

* Current certification in water fitness instruction (e.g., Aqua Zumba, Water Aerobics, Aquatic Therapy)

  • 2+ years of experience teaching water fitness classes to adults and children
  • Strong knowledge of aquatic programming principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, or a related field

  • Experience working in a municipal or community recreation setting
  • Certification in first aid and CPR/AED
  • Experience with program development and marketing
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Work Environment and Company Culture

Our aquatic facility is a state-of-the-art, 25-yard pool with a separate warm water pool and a variety of aquatic equipment and amenities. Our facility is open 7 days a week, with a variety of programs and services offered to meet the needs of our community. As a Water Fitness Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and empowering individuals to reach their fitness goals.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Hourly rate: $15.72 - 20.44 per hour
