Job Overview and Responsibilities

In this part-time Algebra tutoring position, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to high school students in Algebra, as well as other math and science subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing a session report for our office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session
• Effectively balancing tutoring hours given for each assigned student
• Successfully and professionally teaching students to fit their individual needs
• Servicing existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
• Following up with the office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
• Preparing accordingly for each tutoring session, including developing a lesson plan
• Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
• Demonstrating strong administration skills, including typing, PC, and recording skills

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred
• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
• Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
• Passion for inspiring and motivating students to reach their full potential
