Job Title: SAP ABAP Lead

Location: Remote

Duration: 6-month contract with multiple extensions

Rate: $60/hr. on W2 (No C2C)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Lead to drive and oversee development activities in ECC to S/4HANA upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in ABAP development and proven experience in leading technical teams through at least two successful ECC to S/4HANA upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the ABAP development team in S/4HANA migration and implementation projects.
• Provide technical guidance on custom code remediation, performance optimization, and best practices.
• Analyze, design, and implement custom solutions and enhancements across SAP modules.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Ensure quality, timely delivery, and adherence to project standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior ABAP developers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Hands-on experience with 2+ ECC to S/4HANA upgrade/migration projects.
• Expertise in S/4HANA-specific development (CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, Fiori integration).
• Solid understanding of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, or PP from a technical perspective.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate technical teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to integration technologies (SAP PI/PO, CPI).
