Role Overview

As a Freelance Business Development Assistant, you'll play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and nurturing potential client relationships. If you're a self-motivated individual with excellent writing and communication skills, exceptional time management, and a detail-oriented approach, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify potential business opportunities on job boards such as Indeed and freelance platforms like Upwork.
  • Prepare and submit customized resumes and cover letters tailored to specific job listings.
  • Draft and send out persuasive proposals to prospective clients on Upwork.
  • Manage and organize submission deadlines to ensure timely responses to job postings and client requests.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with leads via phone and email to nurture potential business relationships.
  • Utilize critical thinking to analyze job postings and client needs, crafting responses that highlight Sparkpoint's strengths and compatibility.
  • Maintain detailed records of submissions, communications, and outcomes for ongoing analysis and strategy refinement.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn about platforms such as Upwork and Indeed.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and proficiency in digital communication tools.
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • 1+ year of experience in business development.
  • Basic knowledge of business development and the consulting industry.
  • Proactive attitude towards following up and maintaining relationships with potential clients.
