We are seeking a customer experience-focused Data Modeler & Architect to bridge the gap between business needs and cutting-edge data solutions-translating challenges into powerful insights that drive innovation, efficiency, and strategic growth. In this role, you will work directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into data models, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency for analysis and reporting. You will support a multi-functional team in creating, validating, and delivering reports, data extracts, dashboards, and other data products.

With this role, you will:

• Work with business users to understand data needs, processes, and challenges.
• Collaborate with analysts, system owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop source-target mappings, recommend data standards, and identify data quality issues.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure understanding and support for models.
• Optimize models for Azure cloud data architectures (e.g., Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL MI, NoSQL, Power BI).
• Support migration from legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse to Azure Data Lake Platform.
• Enhance data models for performance, quality, and scalability.
• Collaborate with governance teams to implement data standards.
• Advise DevOps teams on implementation.
• Provide hands-on support for reporting and data delivery.
• Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and security best practices.
• Document data models and related processes.
• Enforce modeling standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide technical support.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft enterprise data warehousing and analytical models.
• 4+ years working directly with stakeholders on data needs analysis.
• Proficiency in transactional/dimensional modeling, source-target mapping, and data transformation.
• Experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Familiarity with relational, dimensional, NoSQL, and data lake architectures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools: SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI.
• Skilled in SQL, T-SQL, Python, PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Services, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL MI.
• Experience advising ETL and data engineering teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Agile DevOps methodology.
• Open mindset and ability to quickly adopt new technologies.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Microsoft certifications in Azure, data engineering, AI, or analytics.
• Data management certification (e.g., DAMA DMBOK).
• Experience with Generative AI projects.
