This part-time, work-from-home, 1099 contract position is perfect for a driven college student eager to immerse themselves in the world of web design with a special emphasis on creating fully responsive websites.

Role Summary

In this role, you'll specialize in crafting visually stunning and functional websites that provide seamless experiences across all devices. Utilizing drag-and-drop builders on platforms like WordPress and Duda.co, along with light HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for customizations, you will ensure every website adapts flawlessly to desktops, tablets, and mobiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop fully responsive, visually appealing websites using drag-and-drop builders on WordPress and Duda.co, ensuring optimal viewing experiences across a wide range of devices
• Customize templates to align with client requirements and branding using basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Collaborate closely with clients and team members to understand and execute design requirements innovatively
• Undertake regular website updates, maintenance, and optimization for speed, scalability, and SEO
• Apply best practices in user experience and responsive design to all projects
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality outputs
• Keep stakeholders updated on project progress through effective communication

Requirements

Ideal Candidate

• Pursuing a degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field with a keen interest in responsive web design
• Proficient with WordPress, Duda.co, and other drag-and-drop web design tools, with a good understanding of how to create responsive designs
• Foundational knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance design and functionality
• A strong eye for design with attention to detail, color, and layout
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective time management
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills
• A portfolio that demonstrates experience in creating responsive and aesthetically pleasing websites
